Key Lime Cocktail
_______________________________________________
I had this key lime cocktail at the White Horse Tavern in New Milford, CT. I loved it! I tried a few online recipes, but none of them were as good as the Tavern. Then I found this one on A Couple Cooks that tasted similar. I ended up adding 1/4 ounce of simple syrup and 1 ounce more of half-half to get it where I wanted it.
Hope you like it!

Key Lime Martini
Equipment
- 1 drink shaker
- 1 pretty martini glass
Ingredients
- ice, as needed
- 2 ounce Vanilla-flavored Vodka (such as Stoli) or can use lemon vodka like Asolute Citron
- 1 ounce Liquor 43 (Spanish Vanilla Liquor)
- 1-2 ounce Half-and-Half (best) or cream (heavy, whipping or light cream)
- 1/2 ounce Key lime juice
- 1/4 ounce Simple Syrup
- Optional Substitution: substitute Rosa's Sweetened Lime juice for the lime + simple syrup
- Optional: Crushed Graham Crackers to rim the glas
Instructions
- Optional: Wet the rim of the cocktail glass with lime or water. Place finely crushed graham crackers on a plate, and tilt the outside rim of the glass into the mixture so that it coats the outer rim. If you don't have graham crackers you can use granulated white sugar with lime zest in it.
- Add all ingredients to the shaker, then cover and shake until the outside of the shaker has frosted.
- Strain into a martini glass.
