Glazed Baby Carrots from Disney’s The Crystal Palace
These glazed baby carrots from Disney ‘s The Crystal Palace are a popular side dish at their buffet.
I’ve made this for holidays and its really good, but of course adding a brown sugar glaze to anything would make it taste good.
Glazed Baby Carrots from Disney’s The Crystal Palace
Serves 6
Ingredients
- 1 pound baby carrots
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme or 1/2 tsp dry thyme
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 3 tablespoons of honey
Directions
1- Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
2- Add carrots and salt.
3- Then add all the other ingredients and mix it around.
4- Reduce heat and cover the pan. Let it simmer for 6-20 minutes to thicken the sauce and cook the carrots.
Cook’s Notes: I used thick-cut multi-colored carrots and it took 20 minutes for the largest carrots to cook. The smaller baby carrots were done at 6 minutes. I set a timer and checked the carrots every 3 minutes.
5 – Put the carrots into a bowl and pour the pan sauce over the carrots.
6- Serve warm. You can sprinkle parsley on top to garnish – but it is not needed.
